Do you have anything climate-controlled?

We have a glamping area under development so follow us on social for those. In the meantime checkout, our friends at Adventure ATX for climate-controlled overland trailers (https://adventureatxrentals.com) and Ties Motor Rentals for RVs (https://tiesmotorrental.com).

Are campsites assigned?

Our River Sites are assigned, but our Forest Sites (numbers 30-60) give you the freedom to pick your site once you arrive. If after arriving you find that you would like to move spots you can speak to the host and they might be able to accommodate your move. This is subject to availability

Can we have a fire?

Yes! Our fire pits meet the standards set by the county so that they can even be used during a burn ban. All fires MUST be kept inside the fire pit or a bbq pit.

What should we bring?

A light source is a must as we do not artificially light the campground. We also encourage all of our guests to bring drinking water, sunscreen, mosquito spray, camping chairs, and anything else you might need. We have a “general store” for small purchases that we deliver to your campsite. Just simply text us and we arrive swiftly!

Can I bring my dog?

You may, but it must be kept under your control at all times. Your animal is your responsibility. If it is causing issues, you and your animal will be asked to leave.

What is there to do at River Forest Haven?

We have 1/2 of riverfront that is perfect for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and paddleboarding. We also have a 3 mile paddling trail that takes approximately 3 hours to complete. We also have 30 acres for you to explore.
